Wide Dynamic Range Camera with OSD Menu
Wide dynamic range is just the beginning of the list of features on the security camera. CS-mount lens compatibility, motion detection and alarm, auto-gain control (AGC), backlight compensation (BLC), and non-digital wide dynamic range (WDR) can be configured at the camera using its built-in on-screen display (OSD). You can also configure white balance in a number of different modes to help insure accurate color reproduction. Other settings allow it to pickup up images in light levels as low as 0.0002 LUX, enhance image sharpness and color, reduce video noise and set up privacy masks.
The OSD provides a number of flexible parameters that users will enjoy. Most of the menu options have several configuration settings, which makes this camera highly flexible in any surveillance environment.
Programming is easy. Using the control nub, which is attached to the cable, you can toggle through all of the menus and options.
High Light Masking
The camera switches automatically from day-mode to night-mode operation (unless you've programmed it otherwise using the OSD settings). Night time video quality is protected by high light masking (HLM), which automatically detects points of extreme brightness - like what happens when a high powered flash light is aimed at the camera - and masks the brightest point. Camera image pickup continues. Without HLM you'd get a washed out image (which is usually the flashlight holders' intent).
Wide-Dynamic High Resolution Camera uses a Digital Pixel System (DPS) technology to dramatically improve the performance of the surveillance camera in extreme lighting conditions.
